HAMBURGER Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA)'s subsidiary HHLA Project Logistics has recently opened a new office in Kazakhstan.
HHLA Project Logistics is preparing out of gauge (OOG) cargo in the port of Poti in Georgia for further transportation to Kazakhstan. The new office further expands HHLA Project Logistics' network, which already extends across the Caucasus region.
HHLA noted that its subsidiary offers specialist transport solutions for the entire Caucasus region and neighbouring areas of Central Asia dealing with project cargo from parcels to heavy and oversized loads, reports Container News.
After opening offices in Georgia and Azerbaijan, the new location in Almaty, Kazakhstan is expected to connect Europe, Caucasus region and Central Asia.
Philip Sweens, managing director of HHLA International, said, "With the new office in Almaty, we have access to one of the most important markets in Central Asia. No matter whether it's truck, rail or air freight transport - with HHLA Project Logistics, customers have a reliable partner at their side who can advise them on all transport-related issues."
