Anticipation continues to build for Intermodal Asia 2023, which returns this summer as the destination for professionals working within the intermodal and container shipping sectors. Date: 19 -21 July 2023, location: SWEECC, Shanghai

Thousands of professionals from across the intermodal transport and container shipping sectors are getting ready for the eagerly anticipated return of Intermodal Asia 2023, which is the first major event for the regional industry to take place in-person since 2021.

Intermodal Asia 2023, which is organised in partnership with China's leading container association, China Container Industry Association (CCIA) and benefits from support of the world's largest container manufacturer, China International Marine Containers (CIMC), will bring together a high-quality concentration of established and emerging brands who are ready to showcase the best products, services and innovations that Asia has to offer.

"After a two-year absence, we are delighted to be gearing up for the return of Intermodal Asia later this year," said Rob Fisher, Group Director of Intermodal Events. "With the recent easing of travel and entry restrictions, the timing for this year's event couldn't be better. We are once again able to host international as well as domestic visitors and exhibitors and the pent-up demand to reconnect and do business again, in person, is palpable. Bookings have accelerated since the beginning of the year and we are on track to host over 100 exhibitors, 20 hours of engaging conference content as well as welcoming back visitors in their thousands."

"As the value of the global intermodal market is set to grow to $26.49 billion throughout 2023*, Intermodal Asia will once again act as a catalyst for facilitating business and exposing key growth opportunities within the APAC region, which is the world's second-largest intermodal and container market," continued Fisher.

The trade show at Intermodal Asia 2023 will offer thousands of visitors representing sectors such as shipping lines, ports and cargo owners an unrivalled opportunity to meet industry-leading suppliers who specialise in container manufacture and leasing, logistics services and providers of IoT for the sector. Confirmed exhibitors include Bebu Golf Port, COSCO Shipping Logistics & Supply, CXIC, Dong Fang International Container, Thermo King and UES.

"The quality of the names within the trade show at this year's event is fantastic and will surely be appreciated by our visitors who are seeking new ways to maximise efficiency gains and keep pace with the evolving industry landscape. While Intermodal Asia 2023 will focus predominantly on the domestic intermodal market, we are thrilled to welcome suppliers looking to engage with the APAC region including Container Xchange, Caru Goldgie, Orbcomm, Infinite Power, Spinnaker Leasing and UES," commented Fisher.

Running alongside the tradeshow will be the renowned Intermodal Asia conference, which will offer insights and perspectives into the opportunities, challenges and global developments impacting the regional market. The full agenda and speaker line-up will be confirmed shortly.

Visitor registration is now open for Intermodal Asia 2023, which will take place 19 - 21 July at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEECC) in Shanghai, China.
