DANISH shipping giant Maersk has developed a fully digital solution for clients seeking air freight services, reports London's Port Technology.

This innovative online platform allows customers to manage their air cargo requirements efficiently, offering quick quotes for up to 70,000 connections among nearly all major airports worldwide.

Covering 70,000 airport pairs across over 90 countries globally, Maersk's air freight cargo network provides extensive coverage.

With its entirely online interface, the platform empowers customers to arrange cargo movement for any of these airport pairs from any location worldwide.

Additionally, Maersk has recently launched an air cargo gateway in Los Angeles, enhancing its air freight services.

These services facilitate cargo transfer from most of India's international airports. Leveraging a robust hinterland distribution network, Maersk ensures seamless cargo movement to and from 80 per cent of India's postal/ZIP codes, offering end-to-end pick-up and delivery services.

Moreover, Maersk has introduced new air freight services that bridge the US-China markets, further expanding its comprehensive logistics offerings.

"Today, manufacturing has truly diversified with global value chains. We are noticing that customers sitting in one part of the world need to move raw material from origin to destination without being at either of the locations. Our digital air freight solution allows them to make such bookings seamlessly," said Maersk regional head Darryl Judd.
