Nansha now has 10 deep-water berths of 50,000 to 100,000 tonnes, and is operating 43 domestic and international lines, 31 are foreign trade lanes. Seventeen of the world's largest carriers operate services from the port area.
During the early half of this year, Nansha's container throughput grew 12.4 per cent year on year to 3.9 million TEU, while throughput tonnage grew 14.6 per cent to 65.9 million tonnes. The port area has attracted more than 300 investment projects over 10 years.
